Work starts on 95 new homes in Great Ellingham
Work has started to build 95 new homes in Great Ellingham. The new development, which is due for completion at the end of 2022, will offer a mixture of affordable and open market sale homes to help us create profit-for-purpose.
A mixture of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes will be built on the site, which will also see a new roundabout constructed to improve traffic flow through the village. The new homes are being built by Lowestoft-based contractor Wellington, which has a long track record of delivering both affordable and open market homes for housing associations and local authorities in the region.
Our development delivery manager, Michael Cramp said, “We have worked closely with a number of partners, including Wellington Construction, to reach this point. This development serves as a good example of how different organisations working together can reach a common, beneficial goal - enabling us to increase both the pace and scale of our new home delivery.
“We will not only provide an element of affordable homes but solve a significant local issue by dedicating land to improve the surrounding infrastructure.”
Our Great Ellingham development plays a part in helping us to deliver our core purpose and work towards solving the housing crisis in the East of England.
