Flagship Group celebrates success at Norfolk and Norwich Law Society Excellence Awards

At the end of September, Flagship Group’s legal team proudly attended the Norfolk and Norwich Law Society (NNLS) Excellence Awards at Caistor Hall to celebrate the achievements of their colleagues in the local legal community.

The evening was particularly special for the Group, with litigation in-house counsel Julie Isaac taking home the prestigious In-House Lawyer of the Year award, highlighting her exceptional work and dedication. In addition, Amber Moll (property in-house counsel) was also nominated for the same award, further showcasing the depth of talent within Flagship’s legal department.

Flagship’s in-house team has a strong track record at the NNLS awards; in 2018 and 2022 Victoria Seales and Marcus Tapley-Peabody respectively took home In-House Lawyer of the year; Alice Miller was recognised as Junior Lawyer of the Year in 2023; and the Commercial team was awarded Excellence in Corporate Responsibility in 2022. Ms Isaac’s win therefore marks the fifth win for the group since 2018, and the fourth in the last three years.

Commenting on her win, Julie Isaac said: “I’m so thrilled to have won! It’s a huge honour to be recognised, and it shows just how strong the whole in-house team is to have both Amber and myself nominated.

“Thank you to the team for all their continued support – I couldn’t have done this without them, and I hope we can continue this success into the coming years at the NNLS awards.”

These achievements reflect the consistent quality and dedication of Flagship’s legal professionals, and this win further cements the quality and impact of Flagship’s in-house legal team. The team has made significant strides in bringing more legal work in-house, especially since the formation of its residential property team in 2015.

Around 95% of the residential property team’s work is now handled internally, reflecting the legal department’s efficiency, expertise, and commitment to delivering high standards across its functions. This is something that shows Flagship’s commitment to its in-house capabilities, and support for the professional development of its legal team.
