Construction begins on 51-home development in picturesque rural Suffolk village

Construction on a brand-new development by Flagship Homes and contractor Cocksedge Building Contractors was inaugurated with a turf cutting ceremony on-site in Bacton near Stowmarket, in the leafy picturesque heart of rural Suffolk.

Attending the ceremony was Flagship Homes’ Head of Sales & Marketing Charlotte Mowforth to celebrate the start of construction, alongside further representatives from Flagship Homes and Cocksedge.

Cocksedge Building Contractors has been contracted to build 51 new properties for Flagship Homes, with the site to be a mix of Affordable Housing and Open Market Housing properties.

And with a range of 1, 2, 3, and 4-bed properties to be built at the development, including bungalows, detached and semi-detached homes, and apartments, there will be something on offer for a wide variety of prospective homeowners.

Charlotte Mowforth, Flagship Homes Head of Sales & Marketing, said: “We’re really excited to see the expansion of the local community in Bacton through these new homes. We wanted to ensure that we could cater to lots of different prospective homeowners to give as many people as possible the chance to start on the property ladder.

We’re looking forward to seeing this new development take shape, bringing more to this charming corner of rural Suffolk.

Completion of the first batch of properties is expected April 2023, with the site hoped to be finished by 2025.
