Gasway Apprenticeship recruitment day sees record attendance
Gasway's apprenticeship program class of 2019, kicked off again at Carrow road as it's search for 12 further apprentices began.
Last years award wining initiative saw 68 applicants apply for eight positions.
This year Gasway will be taking on 12 apprentices and will choose from 110 applicants who took part in the day.
Part of the Flagship Group, Gasway are the largest heating company in East Anglia, with the highest number of Gas safe registered engineers in the region are looking to further add to that number to match its plans for growth.
In a industry that's facing a growing skills shortage Gasway's partnership with City College Norwich is tackling the issue head on while providing a structured career path for all the successful apprentices.
More than 30 Gasway staff were on hand throughout to guide all the applicants through the challenges of the day.
Included in this number were eight of the successful applicants from 2018, now Gasway apprentices and on their way to becoming fully qualified engineers.
Working with City College Norwich, the next stage of the process will be to conduct face to face interviews for those shortlisted.
